Brake pads & discs, done properly

Brake pads wear down quietly, then let you know all at once. A high-pitched squeal when you slow down usually means the pads are getting low; a harsh metallic grind means they're down to the metal and eating into the disc. A judder or pulsing through the pedal or steering wheel often points to worn or warped discs — and if the car pulls to one side when you brake, or the pedal feels soft, it's time to get things looked at.

Pads wear faster than discs, so you won't need discs every time. If your discs measure within the manufacturer's spec, we'll fit quality new pads and you're away. If they're scored, lipped or below minimum thickness, fitting new pads on top wastes your money — they'll never bed in properly against a worn surface — so we'll show you the measurements and explain your options honestly.
