A vibration through the steering wheel at speed usually means a wheel is out of balance. We balance every wheel precisely so your ride is smooth, your tyres wear evenly and your suspension isn't shaken to bits.

What balancing does
No tyre and wheel are perfectly even in weight. Balancing spins the wheel on a machine to find the heavy spot, then we add small counter-weights to even it out. The result is a wheel that spins true at any speed — no shimmy, no shudder.
Out-of-balance wheels don't just feel rough; they wear your tyres unevenly and put extra strain on your steering, suspension and wheel bearings. Getting them balanced is a small job that saves you money down the road.

Every new tyre we fit is balanced as standard — it's part of doing the job properly. If you've developed a vibration since your last fitting, or you've hit a kerb or pothole, pop in and we'll re-balance the affected wheels.
